Household goods demand is seasonal and it clusters hard at the turn of the month. Open a month to see which days are quiet, which are selling out and which we do not run at all.

Roughly seven moves in ten happen in summer
School calendars and lease cycles pile the industry into 15 May to 30 September. Every reputable Charlotte mover is quoting against the same finite pool of crews and trucks in those weeks.
Charlotte leases start on the 1st
Apartment turnovers cluster on the first three days of the month and closings land on the last business day, so the 28th to the 3rd is busier than the middle of the month in any season.
Two crews cannot be in three places
We run eight crews. Once they are committed, a Saturday in June is genuinely gone, not a negotiating position. Book peak dates six to eight weeks out.
Winter is the buyer's market
October to April, midweek, between the 6th and the 20th, is the cheapest and calmest time to move. The same two bedroom job can come in noticeably under a late-June Saturday.

Cost questions
Our sample rates start at $139 per hour for two movers and a truck, with a three hour minimum. Most one-bedroom apartments land between $420 and $700, and three-bedroom homes between $1,100 and $1,900. Use the moving cost calculator for a sample range.
No. Your written quote lists the hourly rate, flat travel fee, materials and any specialty items. Stairs, long carries and elevator waits are discussed during the walkthrough so they are not a surprise.
Tipping is never required. Many customers give $20 to $40 per mover for a full-day move, or provide lunch and drinks.
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, ACH transfers and certified checks. Payment is collected when the move is complete.
